It is very popular among Japanese people of any age group in summer as a comfortable room wear at home and in public such as a festival.
Because it is a loose fit and the breeze can easily touch your skin as the sleeves are widely open to cool your body temperature down. Shijira is Japanese way of describing seersucker, a thin, puckered, all-cotton fabric used for spring and summer wear. Jimbei is a Kimono style pair of the top and the pants.
The jacket top is held closed with simple string ties, tied in a bow knot, that is easily pulled and released to open. The top has two pockets. The pants have two pockets at both sides and one pocket at the back and also the fly zipper. We have six sizes in Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large, XXX-Large and XXXX-Large.

I purchased the LL Jinbei from Edoten for a Natsu-matsuri festival I recently attended. It was delivered quickly and was packaged well. The jinbei matched, and even exceeded, my expectations for the appearance of it, based upon the pictures. It has a very nice texture, and is lightweight. That, and the ventilation in the sleeves make it ideal to wear on a hot summer day. The pants were exactly the length that I like, and with the drawstring were easy to adjust. The other cool thing is all the pockets. The top has two, and the pants have three. While the fabric was lightweight for the summer, it seems durable and very well-made. I wore it throughout the duration of the festival and four hours worth of travel, and found it to be incredibly comfortable. Additionally, I got several compliments on the jinbei throughout the day, so not only is if comfy and well-made, but it also looks good. I would highly recommend it!
